• Pour Parenting or Strong Willed?

It there even a difference? I would like to think so. I hope so… I really hope so. You see, my boys were/are the most well behaved kids in public. Seriously, they don’t act up, they are well mannered and always have been. If they are in a pissy mood they don’t show it when we are out. At least not where they are disruptive. My daughter or the other hand. OMG! She is the worst in public! And I say that in the most loving way. Kind of. She is a nightmare no matter where we got, the grocery store, a restaurant, the car. I don’t know what it…

  • Screw You Bloody Menstrual Cup

I’m sure that you have heard about the infamous menstrual cups?! They’re all the rage right now and echo friendly. They greatly reduce landfill waste. Everyone is jumping on the bandwagon and ditching the plastic like Starbucks, they no longer use plastic straws. I like the idea of reducing waste especially with landfills overflowing and the pollution in our precious oceans that endangers sea life. But reducing waste isn’t the only benefit of the menstrual cup, I read a lot about the cups before I decided to join in on the “fun” some women reported that it helped lessen their cramps and that was a huge selling point for me. …

  • Lavender Sun

As a mom I am very picky about what clothes I buy my babies, especially the littlest monster. She is always on the move, and we Iive in Arizona where its hot 95% of the year. I like light, flexible, cotton, for her and of course it has to be adorable, too. Even better when its one piece so I don’t have to worry about her ripping off her pants and then diaper. Yes, that happens. a lot, actually. What can I say, she likes being free. This amazing brand reached out to me on Instagram ( @lavendersunco ) about their clothing and I am so glad they did. I…

  • Get To Know Me

For all of my new readers, and for my old readers. Here are a few things you may or may not know about me. I was born and raised in the hot state of Arizona. I would love to get out of here and move somewhere that can be beautiful year round or at least have four seasons. I’m the oldest of four. I have two baby brothers and one sister. 3 of them live in California with my mom and dad, and one is a Marine. I was a hairstylist for years and loved it, for awhile. When I was pregnant with our daughter we decided that it was …

  • Happy Birthday Princess

Today is the big day! My baby girl turned one. Its definitely a bitter sweet kind of day. I’ve dreamt of the day I would hold you in my arms, the day that I would be blessed with a little girl just like you.  A little girl that I could watch The Little Mermaid with,  a little girl that played dress up in my clothes. A little girl that I could have the bond with that my mom and I have. The day the lord blessed me with my sweet baby girl was one of the happiest days of my life. Our home is complete now that you’re…

  • California Adventures

Our first trip to Disneyland was adventurous to say the least. We stayed in a beautiful hotel not far from the park, spent one day at Disney where the kids rode on as many rides as they could. Chase’s favorite was Indian Jones, Bentley’s favorite was a little roller coaster in Toon Town, which is a huge accomplishment for him. He road on a roller coaster for the first time at a local festival one year and it terrified him. He went into Disneyland saying that he was not going on any roller coasters. Toon town was a huge hit and after that he wanted to ride on as many…

  • We’re Going to Disneyland!

Today marks 7 days until we’re headed off to California for a week. We are all super excited for our much-needed family vacation and Chris is ready for a week off of work. We’re driving to California on Tuesday night, after Chris gets off of work. Then Wednesday we wake up and head to the most magical place on earth, Disneyland. It will be the kids first time there and they have counted down the days until its time to go. I always loved going to Disneyland as a kid and I can’t wait to go as a parent and see the joy on  my kids faces as we walk through…

  • Injured For The Holidays

Two days before thanksgiving my husband came home in pain hardly able to walk. We chalked it up to him wearing new shoes and them not being broken in quiet yet. We were way off! On thanksgiving morning he couldn’t even get out of bed he was hunched over holding onto anything with in reach like a 90 year old man. That night we were able to convince him that maybe it was time he went to the doctor to find out what was going on. The doctor came in and looked at his foot and immediately said he had cellulitis. They ordered a bunch of test and the first…

  • Thanksgiving Without You

Thanksgiving is just a couple days away and I can’t wait. I love gathering with family during the holiday season and seeing family from out of town. Thanksgiving is also a bit of a sad holiday for my family. For as long as I can remember it’s been a family tradition to go out to Arizona City, to my great grandparents’ house. We’d go out early in the morning and spend the whole day playing horse shoe, cooking amazing food, eating amazing food, watching football & just spending good quality time with family. Over the years the gatherings got a little smaller, people got married, had kids, went to their…

  • Family Trip To Vertuccio Farm

Every year we go to a fall festival for the kids to enjoy activities and pick out their pumpkins. This year we heard about a different place so we decided to check it out. We’re so glad we did! The kids loved it, so did the grown ups! We went with my in laws and husbands sisters. Their were tons of animals for the kids to pet and feed, a corn maze, wagon ride pulled by beautiful horses, a zip line, cow train, and so much more. It was a little Farm compared to where we usually go which made it even better! We were able to do…
